Adwords – not necessarily local
May 30th, 2005 by Sarah KingLike most people I use Google to search for information. Unlike most New Zealander’s I use google.com not google.co.nz but today I was looking for some NZ info so thought I use the local version with “pages from NZ selected”.
I didn’t find any answers so I looked to see what the adwords were. 1 Ad. Not a great fit but closer than any of the 7,460 results Google was serving up so I clicked.
The site I got to was obviously from the american bible belt (bit of a shock for us kiwis!) and not relevant. I had expected that if I asked for only NZ sites that that would apply to the ads as well.
