Count the Characters in a Text Area Example

This is a simple example with a single text area hard coded into the javascript. It is however, easier for beginners to follow. An extended example is shown in my multi-javascript example.

This feedback technique is useful for sites with membership areas, member's signatures at forum's etc where the data may be added as free text but there are limits on the amount of storage available.
