Protecting your forum logins from hackers
August 11th, 2007 by Sarah KingThis is a hot topic at DigitalPoint right now as there is a bot working it’s way down the memberslist and doing bruteforce or dictionary attacks on the logins. Because the forum uses vBulletin it only gets 5 shots before there’s a lockout and it has to move onto the next member and then remember to return later. Top 100 vBulletin Forums
January 9th, 2006 by Sarah KingOn a whim I decided to purchase the domain Top 100 vBulletin and put a wsnlinks directory on the site to rank vBulletin forums.

- Ratings by visitors to the directory
- Google’s PR
Vorb Mobile launched
August 11th, 2005 by Sarah KingThis doesn’t really affect me with my ancient old 025 phone but congratulations to Tama for tackling the opportunities provided by Vodafone New Zealand’s 3G network.
Vorb is an excellent site for NZ Mountain Bikers and I probably visit more often than I ride (not that that says much
)

I’ve just set up a new forum at ShareChat and set up Andrew as a user. It’ll be interesting to see how it takes off in it’s new format.
It’s using vBulletin which has been as easy as the Invision forum I put up for the APIA – there’s alot of features in both.
