Sucked a Kumara

I was driving around today thinking about blogs and forums and how you need to be careful about colloquialisms and the thought hit me to see if the web knows about “sucked a kumara“. Seems Google does, there are 7 pages listed with the phrase. Will this make it 8?

I wonder what the history of the saying is, given that Kumaras are never actually sucked!

This news article is a couple of months old but I’ve just watched a doco on TV3 about it and it’s quite shocking. The residents are suffering financial abuse at a time when they can’t afford it.

Core Needle Biopsy, Fine Needle Aspiration, & Stereotactic Breast Biopsies
I supported my mother through a Mammotone biopsy yesterday. It wasn’t great for her but the system is fantastic and the clarity of the xrays they take at the same time was fantastic. Amazing what they can do to help make correct and timely diagnoses.
